Every Kid's Guide to Personal Power and Positive Self-Esteem

Stick Up For Yourself is a self-help book that helps children build self-esteem and assertiveness skills.
It gabbed my attention from the start. I loved the scenarios as I could relate these back to experiences myself or my peers have had.

It really got me thinking about how people behave and the things that may lead to certain actions or reactions.

I particularly liked the feelings section. To be honest I didn’t realize there were so many feelings! I found the facial features section helpful and now have more awareness of my feelings and what I have felt.

The themes of self-empowerment and self-esteem are so strong and empowering in this book, reading it has most definitely helped me to stick up for myself.

There is a teacher’s guide too.

Mum’s point of view

This is an excellent book! It gave me an insight in to how to help my boys in their journey to be confident in themselves. It also made me aware of things I can change to improve their journey.
I recommend that parents give this book a read for the wellbeing of their child.
